105/365 - Dramaturgy

We like to fight

(or is it play)

we put on

quite the show

I whop him one

upside the head

he chases me

away

I pursue

his waggy tail

across the living-

room floor

he gathers up

my toys

in a pile

by the front door

And when it's time

for dinner

I like to watch

him eat

He stares me down

and growls

I refuse to

admit defeat

We are natural

enemies

That is what

they say

But were happy

to share the couch

at the end

of the day
