It's time
I've been watching the clock
tick
tock
tick
tock
You've been nursing
this conversation
for nearly an hour
Is it the power?
A sense of control
is that the goal?
NO!
It's time to GO
the plates have been cleared
the wine bottle is empty
the staff is locking the door
It's been nice
but we passed right by
nice
30 minutes ago
and if this drags
on much longer
I'm going to think twice
about ordering the souffle
because it should have been ready
forever ago
