in a parking lot
What once was
the purvey of vehicles
baking in the sun
Is now tables
and chars
and umbrellas
and bud vases
and people waiting
for their food to come
and amongst them all
we lounge
on a lazy afternoon
hiding anticipation
with small talk
because the sushi's coming soon
