For just one moment
I was free
I didn't know
until it was over
but for 0.001 seconds
no one could reach me
A blip in the grid
just long enough
for all the clocks
to read zero
Then the whole house beeped
as if to say
what could have been
a pause in the day
will instead
only be
a microwave
that will show
the wrong time
for a week
