Monday morning rollercoaster
just leaving the station
Before me lies
an endless tunnel;
a hill climb to the weekend
And as I stare
into the depths
of deep and dark despair
I lower the straw
from my eye
and plunge it into my latte
And yes I know
I should save my money
but this $8 coffee
is the only way
I can possibly
make it through
today
