It's not that I'm placing
all my hopes on you
It's just that I'm wondering
what this may do
This neighborhood needs
someone new
And if you go all out
and decorate too
the holiday spirit
may spread to those who
have abstained until now
So please don't eschew
the glitter, tinsel, and lights
we need more than a few
to tip the scales
and shame the neighbors
into decorating their houses too
